Accomplishments

: As a puppy, Ruger garnered 14 points, including both Majors at 7 months old, and a Best of Breed. He completed his American championship at 18 months old. Obtained his Rally Novice title in one weekend, placing all four days.

 

                                               

 

Ruger came to me as the Stud fee pick puppy from his litter. He has always been a joy to live with, with his easy pleasing personality, he has a super easy to train. We socialized at home, and trained a couple times with friends to prepare for the ring. His second time out at the age of 7 months, he won both Majors. We continued showing him in local shows periodically, obtaining 14 points and a Best of Breed by 1 year old. After finishing his American championship at 18 months, I started working with him in Obedience and Agility. He loved obedience, was not so good at Agility, as he hated to have to “go” away from me, he had turned into a real mama’s boy by that time. In Obedience, he loved working, and his tail never stopped wagging, he was so happy to work for me, and all he needed was a smile. I entered into a Rally trial, 4 days, and he not only qualified, but placed every day.

 

Ruger is extremely short backed, with beautiful rear angulation and an extremely long neck. He is very refined, with beautiful feet, black pigment, and silver skin. He is not a big dog at 24 ½ inches, but has a big heart. He has sired 2 litters of 11 puppies to date. From these litters, we have seen very pretty refined puppies with wonderful temperaments. I have collected him, so he will now be Retired and neutered, to live out his life defending his backyard from the armadillo’s and birds, at Stargazer.
