Accomplishments
Finished her Canadian championship by 8 months of age, with 5 Best of Breeds and a Group Placement. She finished her American championship in 3 weeks of showing, including a Best of Breed over a Special.
Tink has always been the “naughty” girl of the litter. Her name came about because when they were little babies, I always played DVD’s for them to get used to all kinds of noises, and one of the video’s was “Tinkerbelle”. While watching the movie, I realized she was blonde and mischevious, which fit Tink to a tee, so that became her name. She takes after her grandfather in bringing bath mats, clothes, and towels out to the living room, throwing them around for awhile, and leaving them in the middle of the room in a pile. When she first goes outside, she runs to grab a toy, and then carries it all over the yard, taking care of her business. Once done, she runs around trying to get someone to chase her for the toy, her favorite game. Most photos I have of her, she carrying something in her mouth.
Tink was sent at a very young age to Canada, where she trained, and was shown to her Canadian championship by 8 months of age, over many older dogs. She then returned home and began growing coat, showing now and then to keep in practice, before she went with her handlers, Sarah Riedl and Matt Perchick. Matt showed her for 3 weeks, winning multiple Majors and a Best of Breed over a Special, to finish her American championship.
Returning home, she is now in training for Rally obedience. She heels beautifully, but needs some work on sitting. She has the concept, but would really prefer to stand. However, once she in more comfortable with this, she will sail through her Rally title, then on to some basic obedience training. I will start her training at home with some Agility; perhaps some weave poles in the yard.
Structurally, Tink is nicely constructed. She has a beautiful wide front, nice shoulder layback, moderate depth of chest. Lovely bend of stifle, nice croup, good tail set and carriage. Moderate length of neck, level back, nice arched feet. She has wonderful course thick coat and black skin pigment. Her eye rims/pads/nose are ink black. Temperament wise, she is very sweet, eager to please, happy, playful, and is sensitive to others moods. I have found things do not really bother her; she has a very sound temperament and has boarded away from home with no problems, blending in with other dogs, and usually getting into trouble for playing too much. She is very tolerant of children, although she has limited exposure to them, and has not really figured them out.
The pedigree blend from both her mother and father turned out some beautiful, healthy offspring, who will continue the Stargazer line. We have several boys, both white and black, we are considering for blending with Tink, and hope to have beautiful, healthy puppies with sound temperaments.
